Adobe introduces “Fluid Mode” to use AI to automatically rebuild PDF files for mobile devices
PDF is not exactly designed for modern mobile devices, so Adobe has been working to improve the PDF experience on smartphones. Office learning using PDF files on computer devices has become part of our daily lives, but the experience of reading PDF files on a small-screen smartphone is not as good as the experience of reading large-screen documents on a computer. However, Adobe has now identified this problem and introduced a fluid mode on Acrobat Reader for mobile platforms to optimize the reading experience on mobile devices.Adobe has introduced a feature called Fluid Mode. Fluid Mode uses Sensei, Adobe’s artificial intelligence engine, word to pdf converter online free i love pdf to analyze a PDF and automatically recreate it for mobile devices. It uses machine learning to analyze PDF files, re-optimize them for smaller smartphone screens, and display them.
After months of quiet testing, Liquid Mode is launching publicly today in Adobe’s iOS and Android Acrobat Reader apps, with plans to bring it to the desktop at a later date.Adobe’s CTO, Abhay Parasnis, also told me that they’ve been working on an API that will allow similar functionality to be extend to non-Adobe applications.
When you open a PDF file in Acrobat Reader, the application will try to determine if it can use Liquid Mode; if so, the Liquid Mode button will light up. Click this button and the file will be sent to Adobe’s Document Cloud for processing. Once this is done, the user can adjust the font size and line spacing to their liking.Liquid Mode will use the headings/structure it detects to create a clickable table of contents where it didn’t exist before, so you can quickly jump from chapter to chapter. The entire process is non-destructive, so no changes are actually made to the original PDF.Exiting Liquid Mode will return you to the original unmodified PDF.
In a January ExtraCrunch interview, Adobe outlined plans to bring artificial intelligence and machine learning methods to a company. Among other things, Liquid Mode is just the first step in getting Adobe’s Sensei AI engine through to understanding the document in question.Adobe continues to develop research and development in the hope that user information can be managed by handing over a 30-page PDF document to Sensei, allowing it to return itself to a working only the last couple of pages of a long summary.
Today, Acrobat Reader mobile application users may have seen in the application’s toolbar, a “fluid mode” icon, this icon allows you to simply click on the font size can be adjusted to re-optimize the graphics and text formatting to optimize the reading experience on mobile devices, so that in the browse! PDF documents, we no longer need to zoom in or out to read them as a whole, complete and clear content can also be used on small-screen devices such as smart phones.
This feature can be achieved thanks to Adobe’s intelligent AI platform Adobe Sensei. Adobe Sensei will analyze the content of the PDF, so as to calculate the optimal solution for the PDF reading experience on the mobile platform. However, Adobe said that this is only a small test of the application of AI in PDF documents. The future AI will also have the function of document content analysis, to provide users with data mining and other services.
